Tinie Mixtape

Our pal Tinie Tempah has released a free mixtape with New York DJ, DJ Whoo Kid. In preparation for the U.S. release of his debut album, Disc-Overy, this Tuesday, May 17, South London's own Tinie Tempah decided to put out a mixtape. The project features remixes he has done of some of the biggest mainstream songs at the moment, including Chris Brown's "Look At Me Now", YC's "Racks On Racks" and Katy Perry's "E.T.", but also features original cuts such as his new single with Wiz Khalifa that was released last week. In addition, the tape is hosted by fellow British funnyman Russell Brand. Get it HERE.

Krink

"Paint the Walls.” The signature Krink G-Shock watch, the DW6900KR-8, was on display alongside Costello’s artwork – an abstraction inspired by his history of working with urban environments and architecture. Costello sprayed gallons of paint onto the walls filling the white space with bold color from the ceiling to the floor; the diluted paint dripping down in vertical lines forming a pattern. The color and shapes have an organic feel that contrast with the hard lines and shapes of the urban environment. Other walls featured small framed monochrome drawings created using Krink on paper and displayed a vibrant range of color. For the private event held in downtown NYC, Brooklyn-based duo CREEP and New York’s twin sirens Nina Sky entertained an influential downtown crowd of artists and designers. Enjoy!

Big Sean

Love this, yes, yes yes, so good. "I Do It", brings to life one of his signature ad-libs over production by No I.D.—who also produced "My Last" and a slew of other songs on Sean's upcoming Finally Famous: The Album—and The Legendary Traxster—known most recently for his work on Ludacris & Nicki Minaj's "My Chick Bad". Tigerlove

Warning, there is some rude language here. Block your kiddies ears. Anywho, Tigerlove, made up of brothers Roy, Gigi (originally from NYC) and Loral were recently the main support for well-known acts including Uffie on her UK tour dates, Yelle, Yuksek, Kavinsky and many more. With so much hype surround their animatic disco-infused sound, the release of a new music video is the next logical step. Watch their latest clip "Gio Gio".

Pusha

Pusha T utilizes the fashionable yacht for his new music video for "Can I Live" which is the Jay-Z-sampled record found off his new solo mixtape Fear of God. The esteemed G.O.O.D. Cool Kids 'Bundle Up'

The Cool Kids are back, still unsure on whether this is from their debut full length album (I don't think 'The Bake Sale' was an album, more of an EP), anyways, it's directed by BBGun and is a mocumentary style video which should lead in nicely to some more new material from Mickey Rocks & Chuck Inglish.

Mudman

If you like mud, dustproof watches then this picture is going to please you. Casio G-Shock presents arguably one of its watches’ most suited to taking a beating, the GW-9300 Mudman. Earl Sweatshirt 'Dat Ass'

Happy Monday, let me just say, I think Earl is Top5 hottest MC's at the moment. The Wolf Gang liberated an almost forgotten audible jewel from their lost member Earl Sweatshirt. Entitled "Dat Ass," the track first appeared on a skater video from the rapper but arrived now in its full audio glory. The cut first appeared on his mixtape Kitchen Cutlery which was released two years ago when he wasn't a part of the Odd Future family. Back then he went by the name of Sly Tendencies. Free Sly. Free Earl. Listen HERE.

Wiz & Big Sean

Wiz & Big Sean, lovely. During Big Sean's set at the Sunday Swagger showcase at SXSW last Sunday, Big Sean brought out his friend and collaborator Wiz Khalifa to perform a song. As soon as the beat to "Gang Bang" came on, Wiz joined Sean on stage and the two rapped the track for a packed crowd of people. Much to the crew over at illRoots for capturing it for us. And big ups to Hattie Collins for hooking up with Wiz at SXSW and taking the snap for us.

Spray Paint The Walls

More from the Krink collabo project. G-Shock and Krink were originally seen on a DW-6900 watch which was released just a few weeks ago. Of course the notion of working together with Casio G-Shock is discussed as well as his initial foray into painting mailboxes and working in New York City.

Record of the Day: Hodgy Beats

Who said Tyler The Creator was the only star in Odd Future? Nah dude, Hodgy Beats goes hard, and Earl is by far the best rapper in Odd Future. Anyway, the sample to 'Mystery' if you're wondering, derives from the legendary English rock outfit, Moody Blues. With that said, it just doesn't stop as the Odd Future phenomena rep just keeps growing bigger! Wolf Gang. Listen HERE.

GT Tower, Seoul

In Seoul, South Korea, the remarkable office tower GT Tower East, has been inaugurated. Designed by the Dutch architectural firm ArchitectenConsort, based in Rotterdam, GT Tower East will form an architectural unit with the GT Tower West, yet to be built. With its elegantly undulating glass facade, the new high-rise brings a fascinating change to the angular architecture of the Korean capital. So so so good. (via The Contemporist)

Jérôme Corgier

French artist Jérôme Corgier, has created the alphabet from pieces of paper, may not seem that good, but then you look at the images of the pieces he's created, and you can';t deny that they are lovely. He's a very focused man, I would have got bored at 'C'.

Tilt-Shift x Disneyland

A nice bit of visual stimulation for you, playing to the workings of our inner child with the amazing presentation of tilt-shift capture, Disneyland Paris is the subject of a two minute clip that showcases the amusement park through a regular day. For the most part, if you’ve been to any particular Disneyland, the experience is roughly the same but it certainly doesn’t detract from the visuals shown in the video.

'Record of the Day' Ghostpoet & Kano

Back with some 'Record of the Day' fun. This time it comes from Ghostpoet and Grime legend Kano. It wasn't so long ago when Kano was considered one of the hottest (if not the hottest) MC in the UK, he has had some what of a fall from grace since 'Ps & Qs' etc, but Ghostpoet brings him back to form with this collabo. ALso go get Ghostpoet's album, it's pretty good.

Chip Tha Ripper 'Light Up'

Chip Tha Ripper is killing it at the moment, putting out some solid records, loved his verse of 'Fat Raps' as well (although Asher Roth murdered that). Here is a video for 'Light One Up' by way of my dudes at IllRoots.com and Directed by Ken Koller.

Record of the Day: All of the Lights Remix

Here it is, the 'All of the Lights' remix, featuring Lil Wayne, Big Sean & Drake. Lil Wayne really comes in on this track so weak, must be saving his bars for Carter4. I really am liking how Big Sean ("boyyyy") is developing, he goes hard on this, and Drake is a little off on the flow in places but some classic punchlines from the Toronto native. Click HERE to listen.

Record of the Day: Lil B

I have to say I was surprised when I saw this collabo, Lil B teams up with producer 9th Wonder and rappers Jean Grae and Phonte. Appropriately titled “Base For Your Face” to go along with Lil B’s ‘BasedGod’ moniker, the track features the three rappers flowing over the type of soulful beat 9th Wonder has become known for. It's very interesting. Listen HERE.

Kanye West 'All of the Lights' Video

What do you think of the Hype Williams directed 'All of the Lights'? I think it's ok, the Rihanna set-up is very flattering (removes drool from chin) and the typography is cool regardless that it's shamelessly lifted from 'Enter the Void'.

Record of the Day: Yasmin

Happy Monday, today's 'Record of the Day' is from a Scottish pal of mine. Her name is Yasmin, and her new track 'Finish Line' is rather great on the ears. If you were clever enough to give Fleet Foxes debut album a listen, there is no doubt you would have fell in love with the baroque woodsmen from Seattle. Nearly three years have based since their debut LP and we are finally given the joy of some new material. "Helplessness Blues" is more lyrical then previous work but is essentially everything we love about the band. Click here to listen.

Heston x Mandarin Oriental

Heston Blumenthal's new restaurant Dinner at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park in London opened on January 31, and the Guardian has already reviewed it, calling the food "nothing short of astonishing." Meanwhile, the Guardian's Tony Naylor went on a tour of the restaurant and spoke with Blumenthal and head chef Ashley Palmer-Watts. Naylor also got to sample some dishes, including a pigeon cooked in ale and a dish called "Meat Fruit," which is a dish that looks like an orange but is in fact chicken liver pate coated in a mandarin jelly. Tricky, that Blumenthal. Check out the video above.
